Harlem-based composer, violinist and bandleader Daniel Bernard Roumain refuses to be pigeonholed and instead lets his music fly free. His sound ranges from traditional orchestral and chamber music to contemporary rock, hip-hop and electronica. As a conductor, Roumain has led the Seattle Symphony Orchestra and Buffalo Philharmonic. As a performer, he has appeared with legendary composer Philip Glass, as well as Cassandra Wilson, Bill T. Jones and Lady Gaga. The former South Floridian's latest creation features the Detroit-based Sphinx Symphony Orchestra and the Harlem Chamber Players.
