From a Quiet Place: The Paper Sculptures of Kyoko Hazama
Delray Beach | Website
This event occurred in the past.
Handmade Japanese paper, or "washi," has played an important part in Japanese culture -- most notably with the art of paper-folding known as origami. Artist Hazama uses paper to create delicate, intricately detailed and highly personal sculptures that she describes as "symbolic self-portraits." The exhibit runs through Aug. 31.
