Spanish missions abounded throughout Florida in the 16th and 17th centuries, from Amelia Island in the northeast to all along the state's southwest coast. The showcase features finds from archeological excavations, including a bronze Spanish host press and a bronze seal stamp unique to North America. The exhibition is part of Viva Florida 500, a year-long celebration of Spain's 500-year history in Florida, and runs through Jan. 12, 2014.
