The author will focus on his recent work "As Flies to Whatless Boys." The story is narrated by Willy, a young boy who has embarked on a journey to become part of a collective to form a proto-socialist, utopian community in the British colony of Trinidad. His adventure takes him to meet and fall in love with the beautiful Marguerite Whitechurch who unfortunately cannot speak and is not part of his laboring class only to turn around and struggle to care for his dying father who falls ill in the midst of their journey. This tragic historical novel through its twists and turns provides a momentary look into nineteenth-century Trinidad and Tobago. The event will be live streamed at http://new.livestream.com/uainmedia.
