Samurai Culture: Treasures of South Florida Collections
Delray Beach | Website
This event occurred in the past.
The exhibit features an array of samurai suits of armor and weapons fashioned during the Edo period (1600–1868), as well as paintings and prints depicting samurai life made during both the Edo and Meiji (1868–1912) periods. Although the samurai class was eventually abolished, many samurai families held onto priceless armor, swords, helmets, adornments, paintings and prints. South Florida collectors have contributed to the exhibition, which runs through Aug. 31.
